BIO:

The seeds of The Great Palumbo were sown over the course of years spent songwriting, playing shows, collaborating, and recording in relative obscurity within Nashville’s burgeoning independent music scene. The project centers around Peter Campbell, Will Stevens, and Harrison Hall, but also enjoys support from a rotating cast of other Nashville-based musicians and producers who help bring each song to life.

In early 2019, The Great Palumbo’s driving, choral debut single, “Falling” was released. The following months would see them put out additional singles, ultimately culminating in the release of their debut EP: "Into the Dark." A thoughtful blend of rock, folk, and pop elements, “Into The Dark” explores the themes of belonging, spiritual belief, and the relationship between them. Produced by Will Mikkelson (Volunteer, Adam Agin, svvn), this body of releases has already amassed close to 900,000 streams on Spotify alone, with building traction on other platforms as well.

2020 to 2021 saw the unveiling of 16 new studio releases, as well as a series of live sessions shot and tracked in choice spaces within Nashville’s many legendary studios. This run of releases culminated in 2022 with in their first LP, charting a path unbound by genre, staking a firm claim on a piece of territory that is nothing if not their own. This fresh batch of tunes reflects collaboration with producers Will Mikkelson, Thomas Doeve (*repeat repeat, Andrew Belle, Amy Stroup), and Kyle Dreaden (Maggie Rose, Hardcastle, Bre Kennedy, Jake Wesley Rogers), as well as a great many other talented Nashville-based musicians.

These releases received praise from playlisters, editors, and bloggers alike, yielding, among others, the following quotes.

  • The Great Palumbo have oriented themselves onto a path primed to skip the mid-cap rooms and go straight to the topline.” (Now/It’s)

  • The vocals on this track are simply amazing! I loved the lyrics with a great story-telling vibe.” (Reignland)

  • ‘Tennessee’ from The Great Palumbo is a piece of art. This song is one of the most wonderful songs we have heard in months. This band’s tunes and melodies are so beautiful and definitely unique.” (Cheers To The Vikings)

  • You’ll find a lot of emotion in there, it’s not melancholy nor raw energy, it’s rather a carefully dispensed amount of emotion to not overload the tune with feelings but rather serve as a door-opener for the listener.” (KMS)
